A short journey by boat from Kaptai Lake brings you to the captivating Shuvolong Fall. 

This magnificent waterfall, nestled amidst high hills, truly comes alive during the rainy season, cascading down with powerful grace and inviting visitors to witness its divine natural beauty.

For a unique culinary and scenic experience, Peda Ting Ting Island offers a secluded retreat within Kaptai Lake. Here, a charming eatery welcomes tourists to indulge in fresh meals and snacks while surrounded by lush greenery and the expansive, calming waters of the lake, according to Bangladesh Tourism Board.

Bandarban: Where Clouds Meet Hills

Venturing further into the hill tracts, Nilgiri in Bandarban district offers a truly ethereal experience. Perched atop one of the tallest peaks, it provides visitors with the sensation of floating among the clouds. The Nilgiri resort offers a comfortable overnight stay, allowing travelers to fully immerse themselves in the mesmerising combination of towering peaks, vibrant tribal villages, and spectacular natural beauty. 

The zigzagging roads that lead to Nilgiri, flanked by lush green and blue landscapes, are an adventure in themselves, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Another gem in the verdant hills of the Kasalong range is Sajek Valley. This picturesque valley boasts lofty hills, dense forests, sprawling grasslands, and miles of winding hilly tracks.

This magnificent Theravada Buddhist temple, formally known as Buddha Dhatu Jadi, is perched atop a 60-metre hill and showcases unique Arakanese architecture, reflecting the rich Buddhist culture and heritage of the region.

For avid trekkers, Tajingdong and Keokradong present an irresistible challenge. Keokradong is recognised as Bangladesh's highest peak, with Tajingdong close behind as the second highest. 

Both are situated in Ruma Upazila and are surrounded by a myriad of smaller hills and mountains. 

These peaks offer popular trekking routes that not only test one's endurance but also provide rare opportunities to interact with ethnic communities, experiencing their vibrant lifestyles amidst the pristine natural settings of rolling hills, lush forests, and the interplay of sky, rivers, and floating clouds.
