DHAKA, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) today expressed deep sorrow at the untimely death of Sharif Osman Hadi, a frontline fighter of the July Uprising and spokesperson of the 'Inqilab Mancha'.

In a condolence message, the EC described Hadi as a devoted, courageous and combative young voice of the country, saying his patriotism and contributions would remain unforgettable.

The Commission prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family members, relatives and colleagues.

Osman Hadi passed away last night while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital.
