DHAKA, Nov 29, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today urged party activists and countrymen to pray for BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's recovery at home or in mosques, instead of gathering outside Evercare Hospital.
Speaking to journalists after visiting Khaleda Zia at the hospital this evening, Rizvi said, "We cannot say that she is out of danger. However, the doctors are making every effort. We pray that Allah will restore her health. She will return to us again."
Rizvi described Khaleda Zia as the "security of democracy, sovereignty and independence" of the country, noting that the entire nation is looking toward Evercare Hospital for her wellbeing.
He appealed to supporters, saying, "The intense anguish expressed by our well-wishers is undoubtedly beyond words. But in expressing this anguish, it is disrupting her treatment and other patients in the hospital."
"I would request everyone not to crowd here, but to pray for her in your own homes or mosques, offering supplications to Allah so that she may soon recover," he added.
