DHAKA, Nov 24, 2025 (BSS) -The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has attached assets worth Tk 5,44,95,586 belonging to AHM Fuad (52), former APS to ex-LGRD Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain .
The seized properties include a flat and 38.933 decimal land following an order from the Senior Special Judge Court in Faridpur.
Special Police Super (media) of the CID Md Jasim Uddin Khan confirmed the seizure of the properties today.
According to the CID, Fuad formed a group known as "Helmet Bahini," led by Faridpur Chhatra League president Sajjad Hossain Barkat and his brother Imtiaz Hossain Rubel, to dominate various government tenders across departments including LGED, Health Engineering, Education, Public Works, BADC, BRTA, Passport Office, and Roads & Highways.
He allegedly amassed large sums through tender manipulation and intimidation.
Investigators found that Fuad, along with his wives and mother-in-law, purchased numerous properties-some anonymously-and invested in luxury buses under concealed ownership.
A money laundering case has been filed with Faridpur's Kotwali Police Station under Section 4(2) of the Money Laundering Prevention Act 2012 (amended 2015) on August 3 last.
CID's Financial Crime Unit continues the investigation to uncover the full network involved.
