ACC files case against former Settlement Officer in Dinajpur

DHAKA, Nov 23, 2025 (BSS) - The ACC has filed a case against former Assistant Settlement Officer AKM Enayetur Rahman on charges of acquiring wealth beyond his known sources of income and concealing information of his assets.

Md. Akhtarul Islam, Deputy Director of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC)’s Public Relations Department disclosed the information today. 

The ACC’s Dinajpur district office filed the case.

According to the ACC, from 2011 to January 16, 2023, Enayetur Rahman acquired and possessed assets worth about Taka 10,099,257 beyond his known sources of income. In addition, he concealed information of his assets worth about Taka 2,585,150 and submitted a false wealth statement to the commission.

After verifying his wealth statement, the ACC found that Enayetur Rahman had acquired more movable and immovable assets and properties than what he had declared. The investigator found that he possessed Taka 18,1 54,662 in movable and immovable assets that is more than what he mentioned in his wealth statement.

Furthermore, analysis of his admissible income, expenses and asset calculations found no explanation for assets worth about Taka 10,099,257 that was not consistent with his known sources of income.

In this regard, ACC Deputy Assistant Director Mosammat Kamrunnahar Sarkar filed the case under Sections 26(2) and 27(1) of the ACC Act, 2004. ACC Assistant Director Md. Noor Alam has been assigned as the investigating officer.
