DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-nominated candidate for Cumilla-6 constituency Monirul Haque Chowdhury today asserted that the country would never lose its way under BNP Acting Chairman Tareque Rahman's guidance.

“ Ziaur Rahman had played role during the nation's critical period in the 1971 Liberation War . . .  Now Tareque Rahman is playing an very import role in the crisis time of the nation,” he said while speaking at a massive rally in the Cumilla city. 

Thousands of activists and leaders of the BNP participated in the massive political procession, known as a "Gonamichhil”.

Monirul Haque Chowdhury emphasized his loyalty on party, stating, "I do not recognize any group; I recognize the worker of the ‘Paddy Sheaf’ and the soldier of Ziaur Rahman".

He also announced that he would publicly present his thoughts and plans regarding Cumilla Metropolitan and its people next Thursday at the Town Hall field.
