Khadeejatul Kubra made joint convener of JnU JCD

DHAKA, Nov 16, 2025 (BSS) - Khadeejatul Kubra, a student of Jagannath University (JnU) who previously served prison terms under the Digital Security Act, has been made joint convener of the JnU unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD).

The appointment was confirmed in a letter issued today by JCD Central Office Secretary Md Jahangir Alam. 

The central body of JCD said Kubra, who had served as a primary member, was elevated to the new post in recognition of her organizational activity and competence.

Kubra, a Political Science student at JnU, was implicated in two cases filed under the Digital Security Act by Kalabagan and New Market police stations on October 11 and 19, 2020. 

She was arrested on August 27, 2022, after charge sheets were submitted and spent 445 days in detention before her release on November 20, 2023.
