29 detained nationwide in joint forces operations over past week

DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 29 crime suspects have been detained across the country during operations conducted by the joint forces from November 6 to 13.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) today, the Bangladesh Army has been performing its duties with the utmost professionalism, discipline, and dedication to keep the law and order situation under control. 

As part of these efforts, from November 6 to November 13, various infantry divisions and units under independent brigades of the Bangladesh Army, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, carried out multiple joint operations in Dhaka and other parts of the country.

"During these operations, 29 individuals, including terrorists, drug peddlers, and drug addicts, were arrested red-handed," said the release. 

Law enforcers recovered 15 illegal firearms, 19 rounds of various ammunition, local and foreign drugs, unauthorized sets of walkie-talkies, and sharp weapons from their possession. 

The detainees were handed over to the respective police stations for necessary interrogation and legal proceedings. 

To ensure public safety, the Bangladesh Army continues to conduct regular patrols and security operations in different regions. The army has also been effectively managing labor unrest in industrial areas, said the release. 

The ISPR stated that such operations by the army will continue in the interest of maintaining overall law and order in the country. Citizens have been requested to inform the nearest army camp if they observe any suspicious or unusual activities.
