DHAKA, Nov 12, 2025 (BSS) – National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary today said unity among political parties can resist Awami League’s anarchic activities.
About the Awami League’s “lockdown” programme tomorrow, he said, “Tomorrow all parties will be in the field. And to stop Awami League, one Hasnat Abdullah of NCP is enough. He has already halted their activities across Bangladesh”.
He was addressing the launching ceremony of the National Health Alliance — a joint platform of health professionals and students — held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity’s Kayak auditorium at Shegunbagicha in the capital.
Patwary said there was no reason for the public to be alarmed over the Awami League’s programme, adding, “The Awami League’s terrorism has met its end — now only its remnants are spreading some foul smell. The people of this country have nothing to fear.”
Calling for unity among all political forces, Patwary said, “We are witnessing some divisions among parties. But given the current situation, to protect Bangladesh’s sovereignty, democracy, and integrity, all parties must come together.”
If the political forces fail to unite and act collectively, the country’s future will be in grave danger, he added.
