KHULNA, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) - Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Mia Golam Parwar today called on all to unite against injustice and actively work for national welfare.

Emphasizing the role of youth, he said morally upright and idealistic young people are essential to build a just and welfare-oriented society founded on fairness and principles.

Mia Golam Parwar addressed the prize distribution ceremony of the "Night Festival Football Tournament" organized by the West Shiromoni Young Society under Khan Jahan Ali Thana of the district.

Parwar lamented that youth in the country remain neglected despite being the main force of development. He said the state has failed to provide opportunities for the intellectual and moral development of youth. He added that, in many cases, "arrangements appear to have been made to destroy their talents."

"Many young people are struggling hard to utilize their abilities, but are often denied fair opportunities for advancement," he added.

"Without blind political allegiance, no one can attain a respectable position in the state, no matter how qualified or talented they are," he observed.

Young Society President Mursalin Hossain presided over the event.

Among others, Khulna district Jamaat secretary Munshi Mizanur Rahman, district council member Advocate Abu Yusuf Molla, Khan Jahan Ali Thana Chhatra Shibir President Al Imran Sheikh, Maulana Saiful Islam, and Sheikh Shahabuddin were present.

In the final match, Dream IT defeated Galaxy of Shiromoni 2-1 in a tiebreaker.

Later, Parwar also addressed a women's gathering organized by the Ward No. 5 unit of Jamaat-e-Islami at Gilatola under Khan Jahan Ali Thana. Unit President Sarwar Hossain Nazrul presided over the programme, while Secretary General S.M. Hekmat Ali conducted it.
