DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today said their Mohammadpur police station arrested another 13 suspected criminals in day-long raids on Wednesday in areas within its purview.

DMP deputy commissioner and spokesman Muhammad Talebur Rahman said the operations were conducted on Wednesday, targeting both ordinary crime suspects and individuals with people wanted under outstanding warrants.

He also named the suspects who mostly aged between 20 and 35.

Mohammadpur police station’s officer-in-charge Kazi Md Rafique Ahmed said all detainees were sent to the court to undergo subsequent legal procedures.

“We have arrested around 1300 (suspected) criminals under the jurisdiction of the Mohammadpur police station during the last 70 days,” he said adding police filed some 250 cases against them.

Mohammadpur appeared to be a major crime-prone area in recent months prompting an intensified law enforcement campaign.
