DHAKA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam today said the party plans to field candidates in all 300 constituencies in the upcoming national elections.
"InshaaAllah, we will have candidates in all 300 constituencies. NCP is a party for everyone, and we invite new political activists to join us in building a new Bangladesh. We are providing capable and patriotic leadership in every district and constituency," he said in a video message this evening.
Nahid Islam said the party is working nationwide and will finalize its candidate list within this month. "We hope to receive the same support from the people in the elections as we have gained in a short period," he added.
Expressing gratitude to party members and supporters, he said, "We rely on the prayers, love, and support of NCP leaders at all levels and the general public. InshaaAllah, our victory will come soon."
The NCP convener also welcomed the party's official registration. "After years of effort, NCP has been formally registered as a political party. Our central and grassroots leaders worked tirelessly for this achievement, and we sincerely thank everyone involved," he said.
Recalling the party's journey, Nahid Islam said NCP was founded in February with the aim of building a new Bangladesh following the popular uprising.
"We began the registration process in March and submitted all required documents to the Election Commission in June. Though there were delays in issuing our symbol, after a lengthy review, we have finally received official registration and our symbol," he added.
Commenting on the party's grassroots engagement, he said, "During the July movement, we visited homes across the country and received unprecedented public support. We have been advocating reforms under the July Charter and are now fully prepared for the upcoming election."
