DHAKA, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) – BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today said Bangladesh can become a happy and prosperous nation by making the best use of its talent and resources.
“By fully utilizing the talent and resources we have, Bangladesh can swiftly turn into a happy and prosperous country. This has been clearly reflected in every recent speech of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman,” he said while addressing a press conference at the BNP central office in the city’s Nayapaltan.
“We want the aspirations that have emerged among the people following the change in power through the July Mass Uprising to be concretely realized in Bangladesh. For this realization, the implementation of the reality-based programmes outlined by BNP’s Acting Chairman and moving forward with the country’s own resources as well as talent are possible for Bangladesh,” said the veteran BNP leader.
Referring to the fascist Awami government for allegedly politicizing the entire state, Rizvi said, “The judiciary, public administration, and police, among all other sectors, were made to confront the people. The entire state was politicized. The result of which we have seen is that not only the party's main leader, but many members of the government—while the party was in power - have either fled the country or are now facing trial.”
Alleging that Sheikh Hasina tried to turn the entire nation into subjects of the Awami ‘Jomidartontro’, he said, “Sheikh Hasina attempted to make the entire nation serfs of the Awami feudal system (Jomidartontro).”
“But the people of this land, who have fought and struggled for thousands of years, have resisted such attempts. The people of this country have repeatedly proved that this nation cannot be suppressed for long and cannot be turned into serfs,” he added.
Highlighting a new political system, the BNP leader said, “We must ensure a political system where the judiciary is independent, and this department is not dependent on anyone. There must be the rule of law according to the law, not under any partisan rule."
During the press conference, Rizvi also mentioned the positive aspects and significance of the contemporary speeches of the BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
“A free, fair, and impartial election won't be possible if the officials who have been involved in various misdeeds over the past 15-16 years—those who have committed illegal acts to protect the fascists—remain in the administration. They must be identified and removed from the administration,” he continued.
