50,000 trainees complete 'Takamul Project Training'

DHAKA, Oct 15, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 50,000 trainees have successfully
completed training under the Takamul Project, implemented by the Bureau of
Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) under the Ministry of Expatriates'
Welfare and Overseas Employment.

The information was revealed in the project's progress report released here
today.

Of the trainees, 40,000 passed international standard assessments and
received certifications.

This success is seen as a major step in advancing Bangladesh's skills
development and manpower export initiatives.

The project aims to provide modern, sector-specific training to overseas
jobseekers, along with international-standard skills development and
certification.

Training areas include technical and vocational skills, language education,
workplace safety, professional ethics, and pre-departure orientation.

In its next phase, the project plans to train over 100,000 individuals.
e-learning centres are also being introduced to extend training access to
those in remote areas.

The project has contributed to increased overseas employment, higher worker
incomes, enhanced remittance inflow and a stronger presence for Bangladesh in
the global labour market, the report added.
