CHATTOGRAM, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) - The Chattogram University (CU) authorities have designated five faculty buildings as polling centers for the upcoming CU Central Students' Union (CUCSU), Hall, and Hostel Parliament elections 2025.
Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr Monir Uddin said on Saturday afternoon that a total of 60 secret voting booths will be set up across these five centers, with 12 booths at each.
The dean of each respective faculty will serve as the returning officer, assisted by a commissioner from the Central Election Commission, he added.
According to election officials, the Faculty of Business Administration Building is expected to accommodate the highest number of voters, with around 7,073 students from different halls and hostels casting their ballots there.
Students from Nawab Faizunnesa Hall, Shamsun Nahar Hall, Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia Hall, and Atish Dipankar Hall will vote at the Dr Muhammad Yunus Bhaban (Faculty of Social Sciences) center, which has 6,616 registered voters.
Voters from Shahjalal Hall, A F Rahman Hall, and Alaol Hall will cast their votes at the Shahid Hridoy Chandra Tarua Bhaban (Faculty of Arts and Humanities New Building).
Meanwhile, students from Amanat Hall, Shahid Abdur Rab Hall, and Masterda Surya Sen Hall will vote at the Science Faculty Bhaban center.
The IT Faculty Bhaban will have the smallest number of voters, with 4,036 students from Suhrawardy Hall assigned to that center.
