DHAKA, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Vice-Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu today said that political parties in the country will unite on a single platform through the signing of the 'July Charter'.

"Discussions have already been held within the consensus commission and the July Charter will be signed on October 15. Through this, all political parties will unite under one platform," Dudu told reporters after paying homage at the grave of BNP founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

The newly formed Mymensingh district unit of Tati Dal organized the doa mahfil.

Dudu said that everyone supports the interim government formed following the July mass uprising. "We believe that the next elected government will legitimize this interim government through parliament," he added.

Speaking about the ongoing democratic movement, the senior BNP leader said that Tarique Rahman has been working tirelessly for the past 16 to 17 years to unite the nation and restore democracy.

"We pay our respects to him and express deep homage to those who were martyred and injured during the July uprising," he said.

"The democratic movement is not over yet. Our struggle will continue until a people-oriented government is established through a fair general election. The conspirators remain active both at home and abroad, so the unity of the people is our greatest strength today," Dudu added.

Mymensingh District Tati Dal Convener Abdul Kalam, Desh Bachao Manush Bachao Andolan President K.M. Rakibul Islam Ripon and leaders and activists from different levels of the party attended the event.
