Air Force inaugurates cyber security awareness month-2025

DHAKA, Oct 07, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) today inaugurated a month-long 'Cyber Security Awareness Month-2025' at Air Headquarters in the capital.

Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan inaugurated the event with the theme 'Cyber Awareness is Everyone's Responsibility: Every Click Matters,' said an Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) release.

Addressing the inauguration, the Air Chief said evolution of modern warfare and administration was made airspace and cyberspace inseparable. 

"Just as we defend our airspace, land and sea, we must also defend the invisible boundaries of our digital networks," he said adding that cyber threats can emerge at any time, from anywhere. 

Khan focused on awareness, vigilance and discipline to stay secured.

He appreciated different steps of Directorate of Cyber Warfare and Information Technology against cyber threats. 

The Air Chief also emphasized on careful usage of digital devices and increasing awareness. 

He said that cyber security is a collective discipline that requires constant vigilance and shared responsibility. 

The Air Chief focused on unified effort to make Bangladesh Air Force dominate in the skies, secure in the networks and supreme in the digital battle space.

Selected officers of Air Force bases/units, Airmen, MODC and civilian members were present at the event, while representatives of the bases outside Dhaka joined the event virtually. 

Various activities will be carried out to increase cyber awareness among Air Force members, their families and students of various schools and colleges in the event.
