DHAKA, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS)-   BNP Vice-Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu today alleged that the Bangladesh Awami League as a terrorist and barbaric political party.

"No matter how great a global power supports the Awami League, the people of Bangladesh will never forgive them and will never allow them to rise again,” he said.

Dudu made the remarks at a protest rally organized by the 'Desh Bachao, Manush Bachao Andolan' in front of the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) here.

Dudu referred to the conspiracies allegedly hatched by the Awami League at home and abroad to detabilise the country and urged all to be united against the “evil forces” for the sake of establishing democracy.

Labelling Awami League as an “uncivilized and fascist political party”, he said “When they come to power, they take a stance against democracy. They used to say one thing and do another.”

In this context, he said it was Awami League that initiated the politics of murder, terrorism, abduction and enforced disappearances in the country after independence.

Over the last 15 years, Sheikh Hasina engaged herself in unparallel looting, which is unprecedented globally, Dudu said adding, “She has carried out mass killings and enforced disappearances to suppress opposition.

“BNP leaders Ilyas Ali and Chowdhury Alam have not been returned yet...Horrific torture centers like the Aynaghar have been created to kill people or hold them captive for years,” he alleged.

Referring to a recent incident in New York, the senior BNP leader said, "The recent incident created by the Awami League in New York proves that they have no remorse even after a year.”

“They never apologized to the nation after carrying out mass murder, oppression and boundless corruption in Bangladesh,” Dudu added.

About the upcoming general election, he categorically said the election must be held by February next year. "Under no circumstances the month of February should be allowed to pass in holding the polls”.

With President of the 'Desh Bachao Manush Bachao Andolan' K. M. Rakibul Islam Ripon in the chair, Bangladesh Labour Party Chairman Md. Faruk Rahman, BNP Executive Committee Member Professor Alamgir Hossain and Azharul Islam, former MP Noor Afroze Jyoti, former Office Secretary of Krishak Dal S. K.
