LAKSHMIPUR, Sept 20, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Joint-Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee today called upon the BNP leaders and activists to forge unity among them ahead of the upcoming national polls.

 “Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has asked all his partymen to go door-to-door through teamwork,” he said at the biennial conference of the Upazila and Municipality BNP at Ramganj Government College Ground in Lakshmipur this afternoon.

Noting that a good and efficient leadership will come through this conference, he categorically said, “It is Tarique Rahman’s decision. We must keep the party united.”

Anee said, “We will keep the flag of the paddy sheaf flying high in the upcoming elections under the leadership of Tarique Rahman.”

He called upon all to work together to strengthen the hands of BNP Chief Begum Khaleda Zia and party Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman from now on.

BNP Chairperson’s Adviser valiant freedom fighter Monirul Haque Chowdhury was present as the chief guest while Shahadat Hossain Selim, spokesperson of the 12-party alliance, and Mahbuber Rahman Shamim, BNP's Chittagong Divisional Organizing Secretary, were the main speakers.

Ramganj Upazila BNP convener Mozammel Haque Mazur presided over the conference while Ramganj Municipality BNP convener Sheikh Kamrul Hossain conducted the event.

Among others, former Lakshmipur-4 constituency MP ABM Ashraf Uddin Nijan, BNP Chittagong Divisional Co-Organizing Secretary Harunur Rashid, District BNP Member Secretary Sahab Uddin Sabu, Joint Convener Advocate Hasibur Rahman, District Bar Association President Monirul Islam Howlader, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Vice-President Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, Former Jubo Dal Vice-President Imam Hossain, Dhaka South City BNP Senior Joint Convener Harunur Rashid Harun and Senior Vice-President of Swechchhasebak Dal Yasin Ali were among the participants.
