DHAKA, KERANIGANJ Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Chairperson's political advisor Aman Ullah Aman today said people have identified ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as fascist and murderer.
"Sheikh Hasina is responsible for the deaths of students and people and 57 senior military officials," he said while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a BNP office in Ward No. 9 of Kalatia Union in Keraniganj.
Addressing the event as the chief guest, the BNP leader said, "Awami League has lost its political ground in Bangladesh due to fascism and widespread human rights violations. It has been identified as fascist party. The people now recognize them (AL men) as murderers."
He largely criticized the widespread repression and political persecution of Sheikh Hasina and her government.
Aman Ullah also criticized the Hasina government's handling of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's treatment, stating she had been denied the right to seek medical care abroad while the then ruling party leaders received such privileges.
"Khaleda Zia, wife of a sector commander and a three-time Prime Minister, has been imprisoned on false charges for six years," he said.
Aman praised BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman for leading the party's movement 'from 8,000 kilometers away', calling it an example of patriotism.
The event was chaired by Ward No. 9 BNP President Moazzem Hossain Ripon.
BNP leaders including Haji Shamim Hasan, Ismail Hossain Zakir, Enamul Haque Chan Mia and Daud Sikder and youth wing representatives from Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal were also present there.
