CHATTOGRAM, July 25, 2025 (BSS): AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju has urged political parties and professional organizations that struggled against fascism to remain united to prevent the return of fallen fascists.

He said that the fall of fascism during the students-public mass uprising in July last year has created a new situation in the country’s political arena.

AB Party chairman made the comments while exchanging views with journalists at the VIP lounge of Chattogram Press Club this morning.

Mujibur Rahman Manju expressed his fear that any division among anti-fascist political parties will pave the way for the return of fascist forces.

He alleged that Islamic TV, Diganta TV, Channel One, Daily Amar Desh Patrika were caught in the grip of fascism, leading to the closure of these institutions. The journalist community was crushed by the cycle of torture and oppression, he added.

AB Party chairman said that in the July movement in Jatrabari and Bhandaria, when one died, another came forward. “It was Sarjis, Nahid and Hasnat, whose names we have never heard, who brought us new freedom. There is no compromise on unity and solidarity,” he added.

Chattogram Press Club Member Secretary Md. Jahidul Karim Kochi presided over the function while AB Party Central Vice Chairman and city Convener Advocate Golam Faruk, Central Vice Chairman Lt. Col. (retd.) Didarul Alam, city Joint Convener Siddiqur Rahman, Daily Kaler Kantho Chittagong Bureau Chief and Special Correspondent Mustafa Nayem, among others, spoke at the event.
