The other two, who have been barred from leaving the country are- former member of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Abu Sayeed Md Mustaque and former National Security Intelligence (NSI) DG TM Jobaer's brother-in-law Khandaker Abdul Qaium.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the orders, allowing separate pleas of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Confirming the matter to BSS, ACC deputy director (public relations) Akterul Islam said the commission is probing allegations of amassing illegal wealth through corruption, misusing power and illegal share business against Lt Gen (Retd) Sheikh Mamun Khaled.

"At this stage, he and his family members may try to flee the country and that is why the travel ban should be imposed," the ACC plea said.

In another plea, the ACC said it is probing huge allegations of corruption, misusing power, amassing illegal wealth against TM Jobaer.

During the investigation, the anti-graft body found out that Abu Sayeed Md Mustaque and Khandaker Abdul Qaium transferred huge amount of movable properties of Jobaer through banking channels.

For the sake of proper investigation, travel ban should immediately be imposed on them, the ACC plea added.
