Dhaka, 25 February 2025 (BSS) - The closing and prize distribution ceremony of the Inter-Base Small Arms Firing Competition of Bangladesh Air Force was held at BAF Base Bir Uttam Sultan Mahmud on Monday.

The final event was witnessed by the Chief Guest, Assistant Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Md Zahidul Sayeed, BBP, BUP, ndc, psc, who distributed prizes to the Champion and Runner-Up teams.

Bangladesh Air Force Base Birsreshto Matiur Rahman team emerged as the champion, scoring 771 points out of a possible 810, while Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque team became the runner-up with 758 points.

Flight Lieutenant Md Shams Tabrez of Bangladesh Air Force Base Bir Uttam Sultan Mahmud team was named the best shooter for his outstanding performance, scoring 147 points in rifle firing and 118 points in pistol firing.

The event was attended by the Air Officer Commanding, Senior BAF officers, airmen, and other members of the host base.

The competition was inaugurated by Air Vice Marshal A K M Shafiul Azam, OSP, GUP, ndc, psc and Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bir Uttam Sultan Mahmud on February 23.

A total of seven teams from various BAF bases participated in the two-day competition.
