Online art competition on Bangabandhu’s death anniversary

 

DHAKA, July 27, 2021 (BSS) - An online art competition titled ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’ is going to be held across the country to mark 46th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day-2021.

The Ministry of Cultural Affairs has taken an initiative to organise the competition in assistance with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The participants will take part in the competition in three categories that include children aged from 6 to 12 years, adolescents from 13 to 18 years as well as youths and others above 19 years.

Two types of art like drawing and painting have been included in the competition.

Bangabandhu’s  March 7 speech, Bangabandhu and liberation war, Bangabandhu’s home coming day on January 10, his political life, Bangabandhu and his family, Bangabandhu and tragic August 15 and March 17: Bangabandhu and Children are among the topics of theme of the art competition.

A total of nine prizes will be given to the winners who will secure first, second and third position in the art competition.

The prizes included money respectively Taka 20,000, Taka 18,000 and Taka 16,000 along with a crest and a certificate.

In addition, a total of 120 prizes each worth of Taka 1,000 and a certificate will be provided. Among those, five prizes will be given to each age-wise category in every administrative region across the country.

The last date of submitting photograph of the art through e-mail has been fixed September 10 and the result of the art competition will be announced on September 26.

Even the advertisement of the competition, registration form and results could be collected through downloading from the websites – www.moca.gov.bd and www.shilpakala-gov.bd.

For taking part in the competition, participants must submit filled-up registration form, photos of the art, one colour photo of the applicant along with photocopies of birth registration certificate and national ID card through an e-mail ID to [email protected].  

The size of participant’s all documents soft copy to be sent within maximum 5 megabyte.
