RAJSHAHI, March 20, 2022 (BSS) - Rajshahi University Alumni Association
(RUAA) has accorded reception to 43 veterans at the campus of Rajshahi
University (RU) today.

   The former teachers and students of RU who were awarded Swadhinota
Purasker, Ekushey Purasker and Bangla Academy Sahitya Purasker were given the
grand reception at RU Shabash Bangladesh premises.

   RU Vice-chancellor Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar accorded the reception with
RUAA Convener Nurul Islam Thandu in the chair.

   Pro-vice-chancellors Prof Chowdhury Jakaria and Prof Sultan-ul-Islam were
present on the occasion.

   Speaking on the occasion, Prof Sabbir Sattar said the RU is one of the
largest higher seats of learning in the country and it has been playing an
important role towards spreading higher education and research for the last
around 70 years.

   "We want to establish the university as a centre of excellence in the
field of higher education and research," he asserted, adding the RUAA can
play a pioneering role to attain the cherished goal.
