DHAKA, Aug 5, 2021 (BSS) - Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC)
mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh today said Shaheed Sheikh
Kamal was  dedicated to nation building as a modern sports and
cultural organizer.

   "Shaheed Sheikh Kamal had no greed to any post, position and power.
As a modern sports and cultural organizer, he was dedicated to nation
building," Taposh told reporters after paying homage to Sheikh Kamal
at Banani graveyard here, marking 72nd birth anniversary of Kamal.

   He said Sheikh Kamal dreamed that sports would be one of the
elements to make Bangladesh known to the world.

   "Bangladesh defeated Australia in cricket. That is why Shaheed
Sheikh Kamal is especially remembered today," the DSCC mayor added.

   As a citizen, he said, Sheikh Kamal's patriotism, love for the
country and his desire to selflessly devote himself to building the
country will inspire not only today's generation, but from one
generation to another.
