Razzaque lauds agri-officials for working sincerely in tackling ongoing challenges

 
DHAKA, July 29, 2021 (BSS) - Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque today lauded his ministry officials and staff as they worked relentlessly at all levels in tackling the challenges of various natural calamities including ongoing corona pandemic, cyclone and flood.
 
“This achievement is very satisfactory in tackling the challenges of various natural calamities including ongoing corona pandemic, cyclone and flood. This has been possible due to the relentless work of our officers and staff at all levels,” he said.
 
He said this while addressing the Annual Development Programme (ADP) implementation progress review meeting held in the conference room of the ministry at the secretariat here, a press release said.
 
The meeting informed that despite the corona outbreak, the implementation of the ministry’s ADP for the fiscal year 2020-21 is 98 percent which is 18 percent more than national average progress.
 
The national average progress has stood at 80 percent now, said in the meeting.
 
Abdur Razzaque urged everyone to be very aware and careful so that the production and productivity of agriculture can be maintained even with limited natural resources.
 
The projects taken in the current financial year have to be implemented successfully so that food security of 17 crore people of the country can be ensured, he said.
 
Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Md Mesbahul Islam conducted the meeting while Additional Secretary Md Ruhul Amin Talukder, Additional Secretary (Extension) Hasanuzzaman Kallol and other senior officials and project directors were also present.
