DHAKA, July 23, 2021 (BSS) - Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC)

and the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) have removed over 32,251
tonnes of sacrificial animal's wastages from the city since the first
day of the Eid-ul Azha on July 21.

  The two city corporations had engaged 21,500 employees for removing
these solid wastages during the Eid, city corporation sources said.

   In the DNCC, around 11,508 employees were engaged in the special
cleaning drive at 54 wards, while about 10,000 employees were engaged
in the DSCC areas.

   Under the programme, as much as 15,733 tonnes of wastages have been
removed so far from the Dhaka North City Corporation areas while over
16,518 tonnes wastages have been removed from the areas under the
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), the sources said.

  Both the city corporation authorities were able to remove wastages
before their scheduled time, said the city corporation officials.
