Eid congregations at 6,000 mosques in Rangpur district

 

RANGPUR, July 20, 2021 (BSS) – Eid-ul-Azha congregations will be held at around 6,000 masques across the district in the wake of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in a befitting manner with due religious fervour and solemnity tomorrow.

As per directives of the Islamic Foundation and local administrations, the devotees will offer Eid prayers at different mosques maintaining physical distance, wearing masks and abiding by the health directives to prevent community transmission of the Covid-19.

Divisional Commissioner Abdul Wahhab Bhuiyan, Mayor of Rangpur Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abdul Alim Mahmud, Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan, high officials, and political leaders are expected to participate in the biggest congregation at Rangpur Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque in the metropolis at 8 am.

Another congregation will be held at the same mosque at 9 am.

Two bigger Eid congregations will be held at the newly built District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center at 8 am and 9 am respectively in the metropolis.

Besides, the bigger Eid congregations will be held at Kachari Bazar Jam-e-Mosque, Ashrafia Jam-e-Mosque, Nasirabad Ekramia Jam-e-Mosque, Senpara Jam-we-Mosque, Kamarpara Kutubia Jam-e-Mosque, Kamal Kachna Jam-e-Mosque, Pakarmatha Jam-e-Mosque, Bahar Kachna Jam-e-Mosque, Dhap Mohammadpur Jam-e-Mosque between 8 am 10 am in the metropolis.   

Besides, limited numbers of the Muslim devotees will participate in the Eid-ul-Azha congregations in phases maintaining physical distance, wearing masks, and abiding by the health directives at the mosques at the upazila towns and rural areas.

The Musollis will offer special munajats seeking divine blessings for eternal peace of departed souls of their relatives, a respite from the Covid-19 pandemic, and continued peace and the prosperity of the country, its people, Muslim Ummah, and whole humanity.

Talking to BSS, Divisional Director of the Islamic Foundation Agriculturist Mohiuddin Chowdhury called upon the devotees for abiding by the health directives amid the Covid-19 pandemic situation while offering Eid-ul-Azha prayers across the district.
