DHAKA, July 17, 2021 (BSS) – A court here today placed spiritual leader of outlawed militant outfit Ansar Al Islam Mahmudul Hasan Gunbi on a three-day remand in an anti-terrorism case lodged against him with Shah Ali Police Station.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Moinul Islam passed the order as Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit (CTTC) produced Gunbi before the court and Investigation Officer of the case Sub-Inspector Masud Rana plead for a 10-day remand for proper investigation.
 
Earlier, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Friday morning arrested Mahmudul Hasan Gunbi from Shah Ali area in the city. Police later filed an anti-terrorism case against him with the Shah Ali Police Station.
