JAMALPUR, July 15, 2021 (BSS) - The 13th death anniversary of former Awami League leader and valiant freedom fighter Advocate Motiur Rahman Talukdar will be observed in the district tomorrow.
 
District AL and Sarishabari Upazila AL have taken separate programs to observe the day.
 
Former member of the executive committee of Awami League and former president of the district AL Advocate Motiur Rahman was the father of State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Murad Hassan.
 
Sarishabari Upazila AL has taken elaborate programmes including hoisting national and party flags at the upazila AL office, placing wreaths at the portrait and grave of the leader, wearing black badge, distribution foods among the destitute people and Milad and Doa Mahfil.
 
District AL will hold a memorial meeting at its party office on July 17. Organising Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Mirza Azam MP will attend the meeting as chief guest while president of the district AL Advocate Mohammad Baki Billah will preside over it.
