DHAKA, July 10, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist and poet Arun Dasgupta.

In a condolence message, he prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Arun, also former vice president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and a permanent member of Chattogram Press Club (CPC), breathed his last at his Dhalghat village residence under Patiya upazila of Chattogram district at the age of 86.
