DHAKA, July 9, 2021 (BSS) - Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman Anwar
Hossain Monju and party general secretary and former education
minister Sheikh Shahidul Islam today expressed deep sorrow at the loss
of dozens of lives in Hashem Foods factory fire in Narayanganj,
Rupganj.

   The leaders, in a statement, said that cause of the deaths of over
50 people in the fire and the state of fire extinguishing system in
the factory concerned need to be ascertained through a proper
investigation to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future.

   They called for providing appropriate compensation to the victims
and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured ones.

   They also prayed for eternal peace of departed souls and conveyed
deep sympathy to the bereaved families.
