RAJSHAHI, Sept 8, 2026 (BSS) - A delegation led by Maria Rehman, Deputy Director of the British Council in Dhaka, today met Rajshahi University (RU) Vice Chancellor Prof Faridul Islam.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (admin) Prof Abdul Alim and Pro-Vice Chancellor (academic) Prof Mamunur Rashid were present at the meeting, held at the conference room of administrative building-1 on the campus.

During the exchange of views, Maria Rehman informed them about the upcoming visit of the Chief Executive of the British Council to RU at the end of this month and invited them to the program.
 
They also exchanged views on the progress of the development work of RU's Varendra Research Museum being implemented through the British Council's Cultural Protection Fund.
 
The British Council delegation also included Head of Education Toufiq Hasan, Senior Program Manager (Non-Formal Education) Tamim Mostafa, English and Examinations Account Manager Anika Bushra and Security and Administration Manager Saidul Bashar.
 
Later, the delegation discussed the British Council Chief Executive's upcoming visit schedule with RU Proctor Prof Md. Mahbubur Rahman.
