DHAKA, Sept 5, 2026 (BSS) - The third meeting of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Finance of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) was held today at the JS Bhaban with Committee Chairman Mushfiqur Rahman in the chair.

The meeting held detailed discussions on the Bank Resolution (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

After thorough scrutiny and review of the bill, the committee recommended that it be passed in Parliament in an amended form, said a press release of Parliament Secretariat.

Committee members, including Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Chief Whip Md. Nurul Islam Moni and lawmakers Moinul Islam Khan, Md Shahadat Hossain, Md Saiful Alam and Syed Zainul Abedin, attended the meeting.

Secretaries of the Financial Institutions Division and the Finance Division, senior officials of Bangladesh Bank, and relevant officials of the Ministry of Finance and the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat were also present.
