DHAKA, Aug 31, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 147 people involved in various crimes have been arrested in separate drives conducted by the Mirpur Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The arrests were made during regular drives conducted in different police station areas under the division over the past 24 hours, said a press release.

Of the arrestees, 51 were arrested by Mirpur Model Police Station, 25 by Shah Ali Police Station, 31 by Pallabi Police Station, 10 by Kafrul Police Station, 14 by Darus Salam Police Station, 12 by Rupnagar Police Station and four by Bhashantek Police Station.

The arrestees have been sent to court, the release said.
