LALMONIRHAT, Aug 26, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu today said the trial of the much-discussed teacher Ariful Islam murder case in Lalmonirhat will be completed quickly.

"The trial of teacher Ariful Islam's murder case would be completed quickly, like the much-discussed child Nandini murder case in Lalmonirhat," he said.

Earlier, the minister visited the grave of teacher Ariful Islam at Gandhamarua village under Durgapur Union of Aditmari upazila at noon today. 

Later, he met the family members of the deceased and inquired about their well-being. 

"Ariful Islam's death had left his family helpless. Employment opportunities would be arranged for the family members," he added.

Regarding the law-and-order situation, the minister said everyone, who will try to deteriorate law and order situation or create unrest, will be handled strictly and no one will be spared. 

"Wherever they are, they will be brought under the law," he said.

Officials from district administration were present at the time.
