Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came to guide humanity: Azad

PANCHAGARH, Aug 26, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Water Resources Forhad Hossain Azad today said Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) came to the world to guide humanity, urging people not to go to extreme in matters of religion.

“We do not want to go to extreme regarding religion,” the state minister said while speaking as the chief guest at the Jashne Julus-e-Eid-e-Miladunnabi programme organised by Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jama’at at Bijoy Chattar in Debiganj municipal town of Panchagarh.

He said, “We will remain united by following the ways of the Prophet (PBUH). We have to learn from the Prophet’s (PBUH) prophetic life, his principles and ideals. When the wealth of traders was stolen in Medina, the Prophet (PBUH) established justice. Hilful Fuzul was formed at that time.”

The programme was chaired by Hamidul Islam, president of the Debiganj upazila branch of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jama’at.

Among others, Debiganj Upazila BNP President Abdul Gani Basunia, Panchagarh District Jubo Dal President Ferdous Wahid Russell, Panchagarh District Chhatra Dal General Secretary Roknuzzaman, Debiganj Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Qaderi Kibria Rana and Debiganj Upazila Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jama’at Advisory Council Chief Golam Mahbub Jihadi were present at the programme.

Executive member of the convening committee of the Debiganj upazila branch of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jama’at Shafiqul Islam conducted the programme.

Leaders, activists and supporters of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jama’at from different unions of Debiganj upazila participated in the programme.
