KHULNA, Aug 21, 2026 (BSS) - Khulna University (KU) Vice Chancellor Prof Rezaul Karim has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his assumption of office as the 23rd President of Bangladesh.

In a congratulatory message today, the KU VC said Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's assumption of the presidency marks the beginning of a new chapter in the country's democratic journey.

He expressed hope that the new President's experience, wisdom and responsible leadership would contribute significantly to fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

Prof Rezaul Karim also expressed optimism that, under the leadership and guidance of the President, the country's universities would play a more effective role in national development and human welfare through education and research.

He further hoped for the President's cooperation and guidance in advancing Khulna University's ongoing activities in education, research and innovation.
