RAJSHAHI, Aug 15, 2026 (BSS) - A special seminar and consultation session on "Information Literacy in Mental Health: Interactive Reflections on Dementia, Depression and Anxiety" was held today at Rajshahi University (RU).

RU Career Counseling and Development Center (CCDC) organised the event at the Syed Ismail Hossain Siraji Building.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Faridul Islam attended the seminar as the chief guest, while Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) Prof Mamunur Rashid was present as the special guest.

Dr Jyotirmoy Samajdar, Director of the Amalsom Mental Health Institute, Kolkata, spoke as the resource person.

CCDC Director Professor Md. Nurul Momen presided over the seminar.

Among others, Professor S. M. Kamruzzaman, Administrator of the Public Relations Office, chairmen of various departments, teachers and students were present.

Participants received information and practical guidance on mental health and well-being at the seminar.

Registered participants also consulted the expert for professional advice as needed.

Prof Adil Hasan Chowdhury, Assistant Director of CCDC, conducted the seminar.
