DHAKA, Aug 10, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General and LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today expressed deep sorrow at the death of Monowara Begum Momtaz, mother of Barishal district BNP Convening Committee member SM Moniruzzaman Monir.

She was 80.

In a condolence message, Fakhrul expressed sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

He described Monowara Begum Momtaz as a pious and benevolent woman who was well-known and respected among her neighbors.
