BARISHAL, Aug 10, 2026 (BSS)- The pass rate in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under the Barishal Education Board stood at 60.35 percent this year.
According to the board's result statistics, a total of 80,458 students appeared in the SSC examination under the Barishal Education Board this year.
Of the appeared students, a total of 48,555 students, or 60.35 percent, passed the examination, including 19,955 boys and 28,600 girls.
A total of 2,778 students secured GPA-5 under the board.
Barishal Education Board Secretary Prof Md Abdus Salam announced the board's result statistics at 10 am today.
Among the six districts under the Barishal Education Board, Pirojpur district recorded the highest pass rate.
An analysis of the results shows that the pass rate has increased compared to last year, while the number of students securing GPA-5 has decreased.
As in previous years, girls have outperformed boys in both pass rate and GPA-5 achievement under the Barishal Education Board this year.
