KHULNA, Aug 3, 2026 (BSS) - Khulna University (KU) will observe July Mass Uprising Day on August 5 with a daylong programme featuring a rally, drawing competition, cultural performances and special prayers.

According to a university notice signed by Acting Registrar Prof. Dr. S.M. Mahbubur Rahman, the observance will begin with a rally from Odommo Bangla Square at 11:00 am.

A drawing competition will be inaugurated at the School of Fine Arts courtyard at 12:00 pm, followed by a prize-giving ceremony.

Different university clubs will stage a cultural programme at Odommo Bangla Square from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Special prayers (Doa Mahfil) will be held at the university's central mosque after Zuhr prayers, while prayers will also be offered at the temple at a convenient time.

The university has urged students, teachers, officers and employees to participate in the programmes.
