4 more die from suspected measles

DHAKA, July 30, 2026 (BSS) - Four more children have died from suspected measles across the country in the past 24 hours, while 1,005 people were newly affected by measles and measles-like symptoms during the same period, according to a press a release issued today by the Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

According to the release, the number of suspected measles cases recorded in the past 24 hours stood at 870, bringing the total number of suspected measles cases to 127,410 from March 15 to July 30.

A total of 135 confirmed measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours, raising the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 15,874 since March 15.

Four deaths from suspected measles were reported in the past 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 739 children have died from suspected measles.

No deaths from confirmed measles were reported in the past 24 hours. From March 15 to July 30, the total number of deaths from confirmed measles stood at 96.
