RAJSHAHI, July 30, 2026 (BSS)-  A scholarship award ceremony was held today in the Department of Chemistry at Rajshahi University (RU).
 
Vice-Chancellor of Bogura Science and Technology University Professor Kudrat-E-Jahan, RU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Abdul Alim, Syndicate Member Professor Hasan Ahmad, and former Dean of the Faculty of Science Professor Shahed Zaman were present among others.
The scholarships are- 'Rasayan Paribar Shiksha Britti 'Professor Zillur Rahim Scholarship', 'Dr. Shamsuzzoha Merit Scholarship' and 'Professor Md. Sayedul Islam Scholarship'.

These scholarships were awarded to meritorious, and underprivileged students from different years of the department and those who passed the undergraduate and postgraduate examinations with merit.
 
The program was presided over by the Chairman of the Department of Chemistry Professor Chowdhury Md. Zakaria. 

Treasurer of the Chemistry Association Professor Md. Nazrul Islam delivered the welcome speech.
