DHAKA, July 30, 2026 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 3,172 cases against traffic law violators during the last 24 hours in the capital.

The DMP said in a press release issued here today that during the drives, a total of 715 vehicles were impounded and 186 vehicles were towed.

The release said the Traffic Division conducted the drives on Wednesday (July 29) in different areas of the capital.
During the drive, Traffic-Ramna Division filed 140 cases, the Traffic-Lalbagh Division 180 cases, the Traffic-Motijheel Division 319 cases, the Traffic-Wari Division 714 cases, the Traffic-Tejgaon Division 256 cases, the Traffic-Mirpur Division 946 cases, the Traffic-Uttara Division 401 cases, and the Traffic-Gulshan Division filed 216 cases.

The release said the DMP's traffic enforcement drives would continue across the capital to ensure traffic discipline.
