JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, July 29, 2026 (BSS) - Professor Md Zakir Hossain of the Philosophy Department at Jahangirnagar University has been appointed as the acting proctor of the university.

The appointment was announced in an office order signed by Acting Registrar Dr A B M Azizur Rahman this afternoon.

According to the order, the resignation of Proctor Professor Dr A K M RashidulAlam of the Department of Environmental Sciences was accepted following his request. 

Consequently, Professor Zakir Hossain has been assigned the additional responsibility of acting proctor from the afternoon of July 29 until further notice.
