DHAKA, July 29, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka University (DU) authorities will publish a special publication on the 2024 July Mass Uprising, said a press release issued by the university's Public Relations Office. 

To lead the initiative, a committee has been formed with the Dean of the Faculty of Arts as its convener. 

The publication will feature memoirs of July fighters, essays and articles on the July Mass Uprising, and details of various July-centric programs organized by different departments and institutes. 

Teachers, students, officers, and employees of Dhaka University have been requested to send their writings and program details to the Director of the Public Relations Office.

The decision was taken recently at a meeting held to formulate programs marking the second anniversary of the July Mass Uprising. DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam presided over the meeting held at the Professor Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom.
