KHULNA, July 29, 2026 (BSS) - Newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Khulna Agricultural University (KAU), Prof. Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman Sarkar, formally assumed officethis afternoon.

Teachers, students, officers and staff of the university welcomed the new vice-chancellor with flowers upon his arrival.

After taking charge, Prof. Sarkar exchanged views with teachers, officers and employees. He called on all stakeholders to work together to further strengthen the university's academic, research, innovation and administrative activities.

He said Khulna Agricultural University is a promising institution for higher agricultural education and research in the country.

He pledged to work with utmost sincerity to enhance the quality of education and research, expand international collaboration, promote technology-driven agricultural education and develop students into skilled human resources.The vice-chancellor also sought the cooperation of teachers, students, officers and staff in the university's overall development.

Prof. Sarkar is a professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension Education at Bangladesh Agricultural University.
