DHAKA, July 29, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind over different parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka & Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country", said the BMD warning commencing 9am this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.6 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur while today's minimum temperature was recorded 24.6 degrees Celsius at Kumarkhali under Khulna division.

Today's sunset in the capital is at 6.43pm and tomorrow's sunrise is at 5.27am.
